Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my subscription if I move ?

Yes. Your new home just needs to have fibre optic and/or a telephone socket. If this is not the case, we offer alternative solutions (Wi-Fi or 4G/5G Internet). A relocation fee may apply to cover the new modem-router and/or on-site installation if necessary.

How to contact the Wifx team for technical or commercial assistance?

You can reach us every day from Monday to Friday by phone at 024 550 01 70.
By email at info@wifx.net for commercial questions.
By email at support@wifx.net for technical questions.

Can I set up a VPN server?

Yes. For BusinessNet and EnterpriseNet subscriptions, this option is included. For SohoNet, an additional charge may apply. We can configure your VPN server according to your preferences (OpenVPN, Wireguard, L2TP, IPSec).

What type of IPv4 address do you offer?

HomeNet: Shared IPv4 addresses (CGNAT) or dynamic public IPv4 on demand.
SohoNet, BusinessNet, EnterpriseNet: Fixed and public IPv4 addresses available.

Do you support IPv6?

Yes, IPv6 is supported for all our subscriptions.

The Wi-Fi isn’t strong enough. What can I do?

As Wi-Fi specialists, we can offer you a solution tailored to your needs. Please feel free to request a personalised quote.

Do you offer 4G+/5G backup solutions?

Yes, you can combine wired Internet products (xDSL/FTTH) with a 4G+/5G subscription. If you have a public, fixed IPv4 address, you can even keep it when switching.

Do I need to cancel my Internet subscription with my current provider myself?

Yes, because we don’t have the rights to your contracts. However, we are happy to assist you.

What are the installation times?

Delivery times vary between 1 and 15 working days depending on infrastructure availability and the complexity of the installation.

Can I connect the router of my choice?

Yes, if you have the necessary knowledge. We provide PPPoE or DHCP access depending on the type of subscription and your location. However, we do not offer support for personal equipment.

What equipment is offered with the subscriptions?

We provide kits consisting of a modem-router (1 box) or a bridge and a router tailored to your needs (Fritzbox or Mikrotik). These devices can be with or without Wi-Fi. For EnterpriseNet offers, a router managed by Wifx is exclusively used.

What is xDSL or FTTH?

xDSL: Internet access technology via a telephone socket (copper connection).
FTTH (Fibre to the Home): Very fast Internet connection via a fibre optic connection.

Are the speeds guaranteed?

Speeds depend on several factors, such as the technology used (xDSL vs FTTH) and the connection between your router and your devices. For optimal performance, a wired connection (RJ45 network cable) is recommended. With FTTH fibre optics, you can expect 80-95% of the speed you subscribed to with a wired connection.

What are the main differences between HomeNet, SohoNet, BusinessNet, and EnterpriseNet subscriptions?

HomeNet: No fixed public IPv4 address, no advanced configuration (VPN, VLAN)
SohoNet: Option for 1 fixed public IPv4 address, advanced configuration at extra cost
BusinessNet: Unlimited fixed IPv4 addresses and access to advanced options (4G+/5G redundancy, direct routing, etc.).
EnterpriseNet: Ultra-low latency, jumbo frame MTU, and all possibilities offered by BusinessNet

How does Wifx differ from other Internet service providers?

We are focused on customer experience and satisfaction. Above all, we are a people-oriented company that aims to offer expertise tailored to your needs. We are happy to come to your premises to carry out the installation and offer personalised technical support.
